Microsoft Teams meeting on a Mac

These are instructions on the latest Mac Operating System.  Mac Operating Systems that are a few years older or more may have these settings in different locations.

Permissions need to be given for Microphone and Camera on a Mac in System Settengs by clicking on the Apple in the upper left.

Go to Privacy & Security. 

If using a web browser for the meeting, such as Edge, the lever needs to be turned on for both the Camera and Microphone.  Similarly, if using the Teams app, the lever needs to be turned on for both.

If you are needing to share your screen in the Teams app, the lever for Screen & System Audio Recording needs to be turned on as well. After turning this on, the you may need to quit the Teams app and then rejoin the meeting.
